Today was another bus day, so I got up early and did a quick workout in my room so I could get some movement in for the day. I packed up and headed downstairs for another delicious hotel breakfast. We packed up the bus again, and headed off to our first stop of the day, the Kosta Boda glass factory. The factory staff forgot that we were coming, so after our guide Heidi located someone to help us, we were given a tour of the factory. It was similar to the Chihuly glass factory in WA, and was really interesting to see all the factory workers working. After everyone had a chance to look around the gift shop, we headed back to the bus. We made it to our first rest stop, where we had the first of several picnic lunches of the trip! Pinge and Heidi were so prepared, it was a feast!
After our picnic feast with the beautiful view, we drove for a few more hours to our next rest stop. This rest stop had goats!
A few hours later, we had made it to Copenhagen! I had done the least research on Copenhagen, knew the least about what I wanted to do there, and it ended up being one of my most favorite places. Our hotel was beautiful and was right on the water in Nyhavn. My room was tiny, but beautiful with a view of the courtyard.
We had a few minutes to rest, then met back up with Heidi to walk to dinner. We had a long, winding walk through town. We stopped in a square, where we met a tour guide dressed as Hans Christian Andersen. He "performed" as Hans Christian Andersen, and ended his performance with shot of Jagermeister for us all! We then headed to dinner, which was delicious and a nice chance to get to know some of my tour mates. After dinner, Heidi led us back to the hotel, making a pit stop for soft ice (ice cream but better). It was a long travel day and I was ready for bed!
