I got up bright and early after a terrible sleep thanks to a drunk person outside my window laughing like a hyena all night. There were many options to get to the Bergen airport, with one of the most convenient being an airport shuttle bus that stopped a few blocks from the hotel. Some of my tour mates were lingering in the hotel waiting for taxis or for the hotel restaurant to open for breakfast, so we had time to say some last goodbyes. I was meeting a tour mate to walk to the airport shuttle. We had a quick walk to the bus stop and only had to wait a few minutes before the bus arrived. We were able to buy tickets right there vs ahead of time, which was convenient. The bus drove through town, stopping at all of the bus stops and cruise ship ports, before dropping us at the airport. My tour mate and I had a stressful time at the airport - we couldn't get any of the self kiosks to work, and none of the airport desks were serving our particular airlines. We couldn't find any airport employees to help, so we had a stressful hour or so before something finally changed. The airport desks suddenly opened and we were able to check in! We made it through security and went our separate ways. I had time for some breakfast before finding my gate. I had a quick flight to Paris, and then a long but uneventful flight back to WA. I was excited to go home, but sad to leave. It was a great trip and I couldn't wait to go back!
